uss lake erie sends to ssn officer patrick 'stellar' boyle......

We extend a sincere "mahalo" to Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility Puget Sound and their team of experts in Shop 51/67, Mr. Ed Gergen and Mr. Patrick Boyle for the fabrication of the HF fan wires. Superior technical knowledge was demonstrated by Code 290's
Mr. Barry Walvoord and Mr. Terrance Gallant, who spearheaded the shipboard installation, system check out, crew training and underway operational test. These efforts resulted in the correction of long-standing discrepancy for the HF system. The scope of work for this type of repair is above the capabilities of ship's force, as well as
LAKE ERIE's homeport technical code.

CANADA NAVY WELCOMES HMS JEAN CHRÉTIEN

The DND welcomed the latest member of its fleet today

The Jean Chrétien (CSV) set sail today from its homey port of Vancouver, BC.
The ship is the first of its kind in the Navy and is a standing legacy to Jean Chrétien "for his foresight in military budget cuts" and his conduct while prime minister.The ship is constructed nearly entirely from recycled aluminum and is completely solar powered with a top speed of 5 knots. It boasts an arsenal comprised of one (unarmed) Seeking helicopter or one (unarmed) CF Hornet aircraft which, although they cannot be launched or captured on the 100 foot flight deck, form a very menacing presence.
As a standing order there are no firearms allowed on board. The 20-person crew is completely diversified, including members of all races, creeds, sex, and sexual orientation. Don't ask-Don't tell. This crew, the crew aboard the HMS Jean Chrétien, is specially trained to avoid conflicts and appease any and all enemies of the Canada at all costs!

SWSF SitRep march 30th 2008.
No new recruits, or promotions, but many will be following these events
Many events:
* Scrim vs CAT: SWSF defeat Pointman, SilverMopar, Moustaku
** Rematch scrim vs CAT SWSF Victory Pointman, SilverMopar, Death, Patterson
SwSF 3-3 in DFX since 2007.
*** SwSF organised an All-Star game in DFX.
The best 3 players of ''each'' squad played in a massive TDM.
30 players showed up.
The fight was intense and ended 3-2 for the Reds.
Thanks to the 10 teams who sent their top players.
Other than a very few whinners, the game went very smoothly without any problems.
*A SwSF Officer ranked 2nd in the First map, 8th in the 2nd map, 6th in the third map and 11th in the 4th map.
*Combined SwSF presence maintained approx. +20 kills/death ratio.
*SwSF also had one of the lowest death ratio, lowest shots / kill ratio, and highest assists ratio.

During the second week of training for the war with the famous Gameras, this was overheard at the seawolf officers mess:
the officers lined up for morning mess. the line extended 20 feet beyond the hatch. there was a very large serving plate of fresh apples on a table in the middle of the mess compartment.
the officer at the door turned to the very fine seawolf officer behind him and said
"there is a giant plate of apples for us today..." and the officer passed the data down the line extending 20 ft beyond the hatch...
by the time the data reached the admiral at the end of the line it was...
"hey admiral, they got 50 gallons of apple juice for us this morning.."
the admiral responded with.. "holy moly i told them to send that crap back to Guam and replace with 50 gallons of root beer two weeks ago. "
